Our team is made up of seasoned professionals who bring decades of hands-on experience, deep industry knowledge, and a genuine commitment to doing things the right way. Meet Rich Lee

Principal/Director of Operations

Rich’s journey in the construction world started the old-fashioned way, boots on the ground, right out of high school. With no mentor or roadmap, he learned the ropes from the bottom up, turning hard work and determination into a career that’s seen him build and lead a large-scale, union signatory commercial contracting business...all before the age of 30.

Over the years, Rich has worn just about every hat there is in the industry. From project manager, estimator, negotiator, and problem solver and everything in between. His deep understanding of every part of the business, paired with his commitment to doing things the right way, has earned him a reputation for both quality and trust.

Rich has served on multiple contractor and industry development boards, but what really drives him is the relationships he has built along the way. He believes success in this business comes down to two things: delivering great work and treating people right.

Meet Nicholas E. Fenton

Principal

Nick’s career in roofing started more than 20 years ago with a simple goal—build something lasting through hard work and integrity. After founding his own successful residential and light commercial roofing company a decade ago, Nick saw an opportunity to take things to the next level. In 2022, he partnered with Rich to form R&N, combining their experience and shared belief that strong relationships and exceptional service are the foundation of every great project.

Meet Crucita "cris" mayer

Operations

Cris brings more than 35 years of experience in construction accounting and administration, with deep expertise in both the roofing and HVAC industries. Known around the office as the “Operations Guru,” she keeps every project running smoothly—overseeing accounting, payroll, and project administration with precision and care. Before joining R&N, Cris spent over 20 years with HighTec HVAC and more than 7 years with EDA, building a reputation for her unmatched organization and financial insight. A self-proclaimed tech geek, she’s known for her love of spreadsheets and her knack for creating systems that make everything more efficient.

Cris’s philosophy is simple: stay organized, stay accurate, and always find a smarter way to get the job done.

Meet James "Jay" McFarland

Senior Estimator

Jay brings more than 45 years of industry experience to R&N, including 17 years running his own union roofing company. Over the decades, he’s served as lead estimator for several of the area’s largest union contractors, earning a reputation for accuracy, insight, and dependability. Jay joined the R&N team in 2024, where his deep knowledge and attention to detail help ensure every project starts on solid ground.

Meet William “BJ” Diaz

Superintendent

BJ has been a proud member of Roofers Local #30 since 1994, bringing more than 30 years of experience to the R&N team. Over his career, he’s spent more than 25 years running work for some of the region’s top roofing contractors, including 10 years with Belcher and 13 with EDA. Known for his leadership in the field and his dedication to quality, BJ joined R&N in 2023 after serving as a foreman at Belcher, ready to bring his hands-on expertise and team-first mindset to every project.

Meet David Ellershaw

Foreman

With over 25 years of roofing experience, Dave knows what it takes to get the job done right. His career has been built on a commitment to craftsmanship, teamwork, and doing things the right way the first time. In 2023, Dave made the move to R&N alongside longtime colleague BJ Diaz, bringing his depth of experience and steady leadership to the team. His calm, practical approach makes him a trusted presence on every job site.
